In February, Anny Gonzalez (MBA ’24) competed in the final round of the Samsung Galaxy Marketing Case Competition in New York City. Gonzalez, who made it through three rounds of the competition, presented in front of a live audience and a panel of executives from top technology firms and advertising agencies.
Her first-place win comes with a three-month Google mentorship, a Qualcomm internship opportunity, and various swag from Samsung.
The case competition prompt focused on promoting the company’s new AI-integrated smartphone. Gonzalez’s impressive approach was geared towards Gen Z and ways to unleash their inner content creator through the use of the new phone.
Gonzalez, a second-year MBA student, presented her ideas and was judged based on quality, strategy and thinking, execution and impact of the proposed plan, and anticipated results.
“I’m intrinsically motivated. I know that each event or competition is an opportunity for me. For example, this case competition was an opportunity to apply the knowledge I have accumulated from the MBA marketing electives and translate it into real-world industry experience.”
