Earlier this fall, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School hosted an event at Carey’s Harbor East location to celebrate the latest group of professionals who successfully completed an Executive Education certificate. Participants from various programs came together with pride, reflection, and excitement about the future. The attendees completed Executive Certificates in Business Communication, Design Thinking for Innovation, Financial Management, and Organizational Leadership, mastering skills that are critical for success in today’s fast-paced business world.
The event kicked off with remarks from Executive Education faculty members. Alexa Chilcutt, Executive Education faculty member and director of business communication, spoke about the importance of effective communication in leadership. She shared how vital it is to communicate clearly and concisely, especially in a world where distributed teams and rapid change are the norm. Quoting Amazon’s CEO Andy Jassy, she reminded everyone that the drive for continued learning is what separates successful professionals from those who stagnate.
The event also celebrated the certificate recipients’ accomplishments, hard work, and curiosity. Participants left with not only a sense of pride but also a renewed commitment to continue applying their new skills and pushing forward in their careers. It was clear that everyone in the room was ready to build for what’s next.
